Australian Good Design Awards for Digital Design

Good design extends to every aspect of our lives and increasingly into our digital world. Australia’s annual Good Design Awards program is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the world in the world, promoting excellence in design and innovation since 1958. It is recognised by the World Design Organisation (WDO) as Australia’s peak international design award program.

Our success overnight via the Australian Public Service Commission’s Ripple App (Gold) and Financial Basics Foundation’s ESSI Money (Winner) underscore our commitment to design excellence and to improving people’s lives through digital experiences. With two awards in the digital category (app and software design, and game design and animation), we are thrilled to be recognised, and we welcome the judge’s comments.

[Ripple App is] “A great example of the power of simplification and desirable UI and data viz to drive accessibility. Simple, elegant, efficient interface for a program that has real potential for improving team performance. This is a great example of pushing design forward in the context of government workplace and workplace technology. Re-working the old-school 200-question survey as a daily habit is really good. Culture and reflecting on the way we work is highly relevant right now. Great work.”

and

[ESSI Money powered by Suncorp] “The UX design is simple and intuitive with solid design and functionality. The education potential of this project is immense (and much needed), and the IA, navigation and interface design is well-resolved and can sustain playability and learning for real educational benefit.”

Liquid Interactive is founded in the principles that underpin these awards. Improving the lives of those we can affect through meaningful experiences is core to our purpose and why we are dedicated to digital solutions.

Buoyed by the recognition of the broader design community and with a clear purpose that is supported by a dedicated and talented team, we continue to create genuinely useful products that integrate digital channels into our daily activities.

Whether it’s the workplace or school, in these cases but also through health, education, entertainment and marketing, Liquid Interactive is applying this approach to everything we do. Pushing the possibilities of digital design and seeking opportunities to resolve complex communication issues with precise and seemingly effortless design. Good job, team Liquid.
